If you are looking for a rewarding career in the health care field as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in Detroit, Michigan, there are some things that you will definitely need to do in order to get to that career. These are the four main things that you need to be able to complete and have taken care of in order to be a CNA:

• You should either have your high school diploma or GED in your possession.

• The training program would have to have clinical training with real-life patients in a long-term care facility.
• The training program should be able to train in 51 separate nursing skills and tasks.
• The training program should have 75 hours of combined supervised and classroom training.

• Physiology
• Nursing skills
• Anatomy
• Restorative care
• Patients’ rights
• Patients’ mobility and independence

When you are finished and have completed/passed with a training program accredited by the state of Michigan and the CNA exam issued by the state of Michigan, you are then eligible to be placed on the registry of Certified Nursing Assistants. You then be able to work in long-term care facilities and nursing homes.
